I have watched my sweet Oliver begin ‘army crawling’ this week with mixed feelings. He is happy to get to toys on his own and play. He also can get to anything the other 4 kids drop, so there is more to worry about him trying to eat.
I just caught these pictures of his newest interest – books. It is amazing to watch this love affair with books develop. First it is just the fun of chewing on a book. 
Then it might be the neat reaction gotten from mom when she discovers you have emptied an entire shelf of her books. Next a baby starts to notice what is actually on the pages. That was Oliver’s experience today. He grabbed one 
of the many board books lying around and lo and behold there were pictures of animals! He was a happy boy. He didn’t even think to chew on the
book. I definitely want to capitalize on this so I’m hoping to work a snuggle and some board books just with Oliver each evening.
