Yesterday the dreaded stomach bug made an appearance at our house. I knew it was coming when dear Oliver woke up for the day, snuggled mommy for about an hour and a half without eating, and promptly went back to sleep for hours. He woke up to throw up, then slept, and repeated the cycle. Yuck!
Today he’s still not up and playing but he has been awake all morning sitting on the couch. He has kept a bit of food and drink down as well.
Now I’m left to wonder if any of the other children will be joining the ranks of sick and yucky in the next few days.
I’m praying they do not.
We have done homeschool on autopilot mostly, I’m able to do a lot of reading aloud while I hold the sick one. Of course, there are the times when I’m holding the sick one, feeding the baby a bottle, and simply run out of hands to hold a book too. That’s when audio books come in handy, and children who enjoy creating things with bits of paper and stick glue.
I’m off to do some more holding, I just wanted to check in here while everyone was eating lunch!

Keeping you in our prayers...Its always a hard day when you have little ones sick! I wanted to ask how the chorepacks are going? It was one of the options to view at the end of your post today lol, and reminded me that I wanted to ask(: Blessings!!!
I have been trying to find this recipe to hand over to you for a few days now...FINALLY I found it lol...Its yummy and kid friendly...Hope you enjoy it! I dont think it contains eggs either...If it does its all ingredients I am sure you know how to tweak...
Easy Chicken and Dumplings
Cook time 30-45 minutes
4 boneless Chicken Breast
Box of Swanson's Chicken Broth Or enough water to cover with boullion cubes or granuals.
3 cans of cream of chicken soup
2 can of Crescent rolls
Cook Chicken in broth. Preserving the broth. When Chicken is done remove and pull it
apart in to bite size pieces. put half of broth in a jar or freezer bag when cooled to freeze for future use. Put chicken back in the broth left in pot. Add Cream of chicken soup. If you you prefer thinner consistency add more broth.
While your doing that cook the crescent rolls according to package, when done break apart into pieces into bowl, cover with your chicken mixture! Enjoy!
We usually do 5 chicken breasts for our 5 people but that gives us leftovers, you may want to double the recipe to have leftovers for lunch or according to how much your kids eat! Blessings!!!
Poor guy!! It hit our house a month ago and wasn't fun. Here's hoping and praying that it doesn't travel through to everyone!!
