Recipes I’ve Tried

I like to cook, which my family thinks is a very good thing.  We also deal with a severe egg allergy, so those are a banned toxin at our house.  I’ve learned to bake without them.  I’ve posted lots of recipes on the blog over the years and thought I would share a few that are still favorites today:

What is one of your family’s favorite recipes?

Do you still use your yogurt recipe?

We don't eat store bought cereal in our home so one of my favorite recipes is:

Simple 'Granola' (I do this SO much that I just guess the amounts each time, but this seems just about right.)

2 cups of oatmeal
3/4 cup of raw pumpkin seeds or raw sunflower seeds (you can use both too if you'd like)
1/4 cup of honey

In a warm skillet, toast the oatmeal for about 3 minutes. Be careful not to burn it so just keep watching it as it toasts! Then add the seeds, toast them for a minute or two. You want them to release their natural oil.
Remove the skillet from the heat and mix in the honey. You want to make sure it is all covered in honey. If you need more honey, add more. We usually add more because we are all sweet tooths here, but you don't have to. :)

You then put some on top of your yogurt and if you have some fresh fruit on hand top it off with that too! It is simple and delish! :)

Happy Cooking!

This seems to be more common or at lease more talked about than before. It's kind of you to share what you have tried and like. We don't have such allergies, but love when recipies are shared, so thanks. *smile* Have a great day and a wonderful time on your family visit. I wish all the best for your mom who fell and that she would have a save and quick recovery. sincerely, Mommy of two little blessings & so much more!

Ok Tristan,

I just have to say I am so surprised that Conference Cinnamon rolls are not on the list.... Sigh... I guess I'll just have to live with it! ;)

Hope that's ok :)
I hope your blogging less means you are keeping busy - that's good!
Miss you on the Crew,
