Saturday Work

It’s been a busy Saturday so far, but that makes me happy.  We’re accomplishing things!  So far today we’ve done the following:

  • Kids played video games – Saturday is the one and only day that happens at our house.
  • Makayla notified me she all but two of her shirts are too short.  She’s so long/tall she now needs 14/16.  I picked up 6 new to her shirts at the local children’s resale shop – grand total $14.00.  Also checked for a winter coat (she’s outgrown hers).  No luck.
  • I went to the library and spent a blissful hour wandering the stacks finding treasures for my family.  Yay for free books!
  • Wal-Mart shopping for a few groceries and a coat for Makayla.
  • Big house clean-up: Scrubbing  out the refrigerator, cleaning bathrooms, kitchen cabinets, floors, counters, and so on.
  • Wrapping all the kids’ Christmas presents with my hubby during quiet time.
  • Laundry – it just never ends.  Mason’s baby clothes are all washed and ready to go, plus everything for the regular household laundry.
  • Making dinner to eat with one set of grandparents – lasagna, garlic bread, salad.  Yum!

Now we’re settling in for some family time and scripture study before bed, so I need to get off the computer!

What have you been up to this Saturday?

Wow, that was a full day and it ended great. I think there is nothing better than scripture study and prayer for the end of a busy day.
Blessings to you all!

Choir practice for our Ward's Christmas program, shopping at Thrift stores for baby clothes for a friend, taking my son to help a friend move, fixing meals, and the endless attempts to clean. I REALLY need to set up and follow up on the Chore Paks.

I am always amazed at how much you accomplish, especially at 8 months pregnant! At that point, all I wanted to do was sit on the couch.
