Our family began using our own version of workboxes in March of 2009 before I ever read the official book. We started out with cardboard magazine holders on a high shelf. You can see more about that here.
In fall of 2009 my family was able to read and review the official book by Sue Patrick as a part of the TOS Homeschool Crew. We tried the tubs on a shelf for my oldest during the review. It lasted only a few days before my toddler of the day (child #4) was making a mess of the whole setup. We then moved to a crate of hanging file folders for my oldest child, which worked well. Read my review here for all the details and pictures.
In January of 2010 we created the Family Workbox, which was the crate with file folders holding things for our family subjects. I now had 5 children ages 8 and under. Read my introduction to the family workbox here.
